CrewNerd is a free rowing app available for Android devices developed by Performance Phones LLC. It is the top rowing app for the iPhone, and now it is available for Android as well. CrewNerd transforms your smartphone into the perfect training tool for any rowing shell, canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or dragon boat.
The app uses the accelerometer in your phone or tablet to calculate your stroke rate and how much bounce and stern check you are producing. Speed, pace, and distance are calculated through GPS. Heart rate monitoring is also supported. CrewNerd comes with pre-programmed workouts, but you can create your own custom workouts based on distance, time, or strokes. You can also create custom courses by plotting your start and finish lines in Google Earth. CrewNerd records all of your workout data, which can be reviewed later in map or graph form, or exported in popular formats.
